Pipins Pub
Pipins Pub
9701 3rd Ave
Brooklyn NY 11209
833-1183
Gender ratio: 75-25
Dress Code: Casual for both guys and girls... jeans, long sleeve T?s, cute tops for girls, shoes or sneaks are fine.
Atmosphere: The white walls with dark wood cross beams gave the impression that the bar was an old fashioned Bavarian-style pub. As you walk in, the bar is on the left with standing room to the right. In the back is a smaller, sectioned off area where tables, chairs and benches are available to sit and eat.
After meeting up around midnight, we all walked over to Pipin's to start out with a few drinks. They were moderately priced, just like most other bars in the area, and definitely had enough alcohol content for the money. They had the usual selection of beer and liquor bottles, as well as various beers on tap. We sat at a table in the back after passing by the small fireplace between the 2 rooms, which added a nice little touch. It definitely helped us warm up after coming in from the bitter cold. All in all, this is a nice place to hang out and chit chat with some friends for a while before hopping around to other bars. It didn't get too crowded, but had a nice amount of people. This would also a good place to go to have some food and drinks while watching the baseball/football game on a Sunday evening.
