We showed up later on in the night, after hitting a few other bars. The Monk on most nights has a band playing and has a $5 cover charge. No one seems to mind paying the cover since they usually have decent band playing. This is a louder, younger bar with an average age in the early to mid 20's. A few random older people do seem to slip in though. The drinks are usually pretty good, just don?t ask for anything too exotic. They do however have a good selection of beer both bottled and on tap.

The bands are always rock cover bands in this cathedral themed bar. Definitely worth stumbling into, as it's always crowded and provides a good time. There's also a pool table and a dart board in the back. They also have two huge booths to sit at behind the DJ in the back of the bar. Please don?t get too dressed up & expect a stumbling body to fall near you at least once.

The Atmosphere is certainly authentic, with stained glass windows imported from a monastery in Ireland. Gargoyles line the wood moldings, and a festive group of monks makes for an EXCELLENT Mural above the bar.
