We got there around 12:30 and there was a short line outside to get in. There is valet parking for $7, and the admission charge is $10 per person (you must be 21 to enter, no exceptions - ID's are scanned).

Atmosphere: Gazebo looks like a club from the outside, and that is exactly what you'll find once you step inside. There is a coat check, bar on either side of the main floor (one is open all around), and a dance floor towards the back where the DJ spins a mix of hip-hop and house that's loud enough to hear from the outside. The lighting is dim like in most clubs, though not too dark.

Gender Ratio: About 50/50.

Dress Code: Trendy. This is a club, so sneakers and hats will not do. Nice jeans and a trendy top will suffice.

Gazebo has been open in the neighborhood for years now, though it has undergone a few name changes. Some of you might remember it as Turquoise. Though the name and paint outside and inside may have changed, it's still one of the busiest clubs in the neighborhood. There was a good sized crowd this past friday night, so if you want space to move around, this isn't really the place for you. The drinks are also somewhat more expensive than other places around Bay Ridge, but they definitely have the alcohol in them to back it up. Average prices are about $8-$10 for liquor drinks.

If you're looking for a club where you can dance and have a few drinks while still staying close to home, I'd recommend Gazebo. If you're sensitive to loud noises however, realize that after a few hours there, your ears may be buzzing afterwards.
